Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Jeddah Corniche Circuit

Summary

Known for blistering speeds, the Jeddah Street Circuit runs across the waterfront of the Red Sea and is the second longest track in the 2023 F1® season. With consistent race conditions, Jeddah is unlikely to pack any surprises, but as the second race of the season this is your chance to set the pace.

Suggested Setup

Suggested car setup for the Jeddah Street Circuit

  1. Medium and high-speed cornering is crucial
  2. Focusing on top speed and DRS is also recommended
  3. Balanced circuit

Tips & Tricks

There’s a good chance you will see a safety car at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and a negligible chance of bad weather, so aim for consistency, not aggression.

  1. With race conditions unlikely to change, pit strategy is critical. If you place high in qualifying, consider racing defensively, starting on mediums and swapping to hards.
  2. If you place low in qualifying, the early race is your main window to gain any positions, so start on softs and push to try to pull ahead.
  3. When the pack spreads out, play a conservative race, this isn’t the point in the season to wear your cars out racing aggressively.

2023 Race Replay

A safety car early in the race has brought everyone to the pits. With 15 laps to go, Tsunoda is holding Magnussen at bay for 10th place, with fresher tyres at his disposal. Can you mount a stoic defence and acquire a precious World Championship point for AlphaTauri?
