Bahrain Grand Prix

Bahrain Grand Prix

Bahrain International Circuit

Summary

Historic host of the first Grand Prix in the Middle East, the Bahrain International Circuit is the perfect track to kick off the 2023 F1® season. Escaping the desert heat with a night race, Bahrain is the first chance for Team Principals to make their mark on the coming season. Play it safe or push for greatness, the choice is in your hands.

Suggested Setup

Suggested car setup for the Bahrain International Circuit:

  1. Medium speed cornering is crucial
  2. Focusing on acceleration and DRS is also recommended
  3. Power circuit

Tips & Tricks

Predictable weather, numerous straights, and a forgiving circuit surface reward aggressive drivers at the Bahrain Grand Prix, so push your drivers hard when they have a window.

  1. Expect the appearance of a safety car, so be flexible with your pit stop strategy and change tyres when the opportunity arises.
  2. When the safety car is out, tell your drivers to preserve their tyres, conserve fuel, and refill their ERS battery, then push the moment regular racing resumes.
  3. Starting on soft tyres lets you gain places early, and then swapping to hards lets you maintain your place until an opportunity to return to softs arises.

2023 Race Replay

Williams didn’t have high expectations for Bahrain, but after a strong first stint, Albon finds himself in 10th with just 14 laps to go. Thanks to a fast pit stop during the virtual safety car, he’s got good grip on his tyres and a chance to score vital points for the team.
