Mexico City Grand Prix

Mexico City Grand Prix

Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez

Over 2000m above sea level, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez is the highest circuit in all of F1 and that brings equally high stakes for Team Principals to manage. Technical driving is often rewarded and ambitious pushes are often punished at the Mexico GP – can you make the right calls?

Suggested Setup

Suggested car setup and attribute focus for Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez:

  1. DRS effectiveness is crucial
  2. Focusing on high speed and low speed cornering is also recommended
  3. Favours cars with balanced stats

Tips & Tricks

Correctly handling the tricky corners in Mexico City can make the difference as your drivers battle the high-altitude racing.

  1. One stop pit strategies are viable in Mexico, but this late in the season your car may be beginning to show some serious signs of wear. If a mechanical failure rears its head, be prepared to make an unscheduled stop.
  2. A DRS zone right off the bat in Sector 1 might see some very early battles, so you’ll need to be on your best form from the start.
  3. While pit times are relatively long, a late race change to softs could offer a high risk, high reward return if you need to push into the points.
